Nazi Boni University

Nazi Boni University (Université Nazi Boni) is a public university located in Bobo-Dioulasso, the second-largest city in Burkina Faso.

Nazi Boni University was founded in 1995 as the Polytechnic University of Bobo-Dioulasso (Université Polytechnique de Bobo-Dioulasso). It was established by the government of Burkina Faso to meet the growing demand for higher education in the country. The university initially offered programs in engineering and technology, but it has since expanded its offerings to include a wide range of disciplines.

In 2010/2011, the Polytechnic University of Bobo-Dioulasso had around 2,600 students. The university continued to grow in the following years, and in 2017, it was renamed Nazi Boni University in honor of Nazi Boni, a Burkinabé politician and diplomat who served as the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1974 to 1980.
