Diyala University

Diyala University is a public university located in Diyala Governorate, Iraq.

The history of Diyala University can be traced back to 1989, when the Iraqi government established the Diyala Institute of Technology. The institute was initially composed of two departments. In 1992, the institute was renamed the Diyala Technical College and expanded to include four departments.

In 1999, the Iraqi government upgraded the Diyala Technical College to a university and named it the University of Diyala. The university has grown significantly since its establishment. In 2003, 2008 and 2012 the university added new faculties.

The university has played an important role in the development of Diyala Governorate. The university has provided educational opportunities for students from all backgrounds and socioeconomic levels. The university has also contributed to the economy of Diyala Governorate by providing jobs for faculty, staff, and students.

The university has faced a number of challenges since its establishment. The university has been affected by the wars and instability in Iraq. The university has also faced financial challenges. Despite these challenges, the university has continued to grow and develop.
