Caleb University

Caleb University is a private university located in Imota, Lagos State, Nigeria.

The university's journey began in 2007 when it received provisional approval from the Nigerian Federal Government to operate as a private institution. Established by Caleb International College Ltd, with Dr. Ola Adebogun serving as Chairman and Visitor, the university marked a significant milestone in private education in Nigeria. Its founding aimed to address the growing demand for quality higher education with a focus on both academic excellence and character development. The institution's vision was rooted in producing graduates equipped with the knowledge and values to excel in their careers and contribute to society. In 2008, the university welcomed its first cohort of 141 students, beginning its academic operations at a temporary site in Ikosi GRA, Lagos. The early years of operation laid a solid foundation for the university’s growth and future expansion. By 2009, the institution relocated to its expansive 110-hectare permanent campus in Imota, providing a conducive learning environment with modern facilities. The move to the permanent campus symbolized the university’s long-term commitment to offering top-tier education and fostering innovation.

Over the years, the university has witnessed remarkable growth, both in its academic programs and physical infrastructure. It now comprises four colleges, offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in disciplines such as science, management, social sciences, and humanities.
