Ladoke Akintola University of Technology

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) is a public university located in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. It was established in 1995 and is named after Ladoke Akintola, the first Premier of the Western Region of Nigeria. LAUTECH is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and is accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The university was originally established in 1990 as Oyo State University of Technology, Ogbomoso (OSUTECH). Upon the creation of the Osun State out of the Old Oyo State in 1991, the name of the university was changed to LadokeAkintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH).

The university began its first academic session on 19 October 1990, with a total of 436 candidates enrolled in four faculties namely Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Engineering and Management Sciences, and Pure and Applied Sciences.

LAUTECH is a leading university in Nigeria and has a strong reputation for academic excellence. The university has been ranked among the top ten universities in Nigeria by several independent organizations.
