Université Alioune Diop de Bambey

The Université Alioune Diop de Bambey (UADB) is a public institution of higher education located in Bambey in the region of Diourbel, in the center-west of Senegal.

The history of the Université Alioune Diop de Bambey (UADB) can be traced back to the creation of the Regional University College (CUR) of Bambey in 2004. The CUR was established to provide higher education opportunities for students in the region of Diourbel. In 2007, the CUR began offering courses in health, agriculture, management, and applied sciences.

In 2009, the CUR was transformed into a full-fledged university and renamed the Université Alioune Diop de Bambey, in honor of the Senegalese intellectual and politician Alioune Diop.

The UADB offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in a variety of disciplines, including health, agriculture, management, sciences, and information and communication technologies. The university also has a strong research focus, with several research centers and laboratories.

In recent years, the UADB has expanded its facilities and infrastructure, and has also developed a number of partnerships with international universities. The university is committed to providing high-quality education and research that will contribute to the development of Senegal.
