Al-Wataniya Private University

Al-Wataniya Private University (WPU) was established in 2007 in the Hama Governorate of Syria by virtue of Decree No. 264, and teaching began a few years later (2010–11) with initial faculties in engineering. Located on the Homs–Hama international highway, it positions itself as a modern private university, offering a mix of professional and academic programmes in an environment that emphasises quality, technology, and research.

WPU has grown to include six faculties (Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering – both Informatics/Communications and Civil, Architecture & Urban Planning, Administrative & Financial Sciences) and markets itself as serving the region’s educational and developmental needs. It emphasises a modern campus, “most advanced didactic instruments and its highly qualified teaching staff” as part of its early appeal.
