Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, founded in 1837, is the oldest historically black institution in the United States. Cheyney is located along a volume rural highway in Cheyney, Pennsylvania. Cheyney has a long history of providing higher education opportunities for African American students. Cheyney offers undergraduate and graduate studies, and supports academic excellence, the advancement of African Americans, social responsibility, and leadership through globally-focused academic programs and support services.
