University of California, Davis

The University of California – Davis is often referred to as UC-Davis and is located in Davis, California, USA. They have over 31,000 students and offer course work in fields that include medicine, business management, nursing, education, law and veterinary medicine. They have the largest School of Veterinary Medicine in the United States.

UCD was founded in 1905, as a farm school, with its major teachings in agriculture. The doors were not actually open until 1909. Its growth has steadily continued since then, and in 1951 the school already had 3,000 acres.
