Benedict College

Benedict College is a private, coeducational, liberal arts institution located in Columbia, South Carolina. It began as a teaching college for the preparation of teachers and ministers, expanding to include industrial and vocational training, demonstrating an early commitment to both academic and practical skills necessary for community leadership. A major milestone occurred in 1894 when it was chartered as a college under the laws of South Carolina.
