Brown University is a private Ivy League research university, located in Providence, Rhode Island, that is the seventh-oldest institution of higher education in the United States, established in 1764 as the College in the English Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. Around the time the university has grown and begin to be identified for its innovation, excellence and accessibility. The Baptists of Rhode Island established it and also was considered as the first collegiate institutions to greet people of all faiths.
