Carroll College is a private, coeducational Catholic college located in Helena, Montana. It was established by the first Bishop of Helena, John Baptist Brondel. The college was renamed in 1909 in honor of Bishop John P. Carroll, the second Bishop of Helena, who expanded the institution and formalized its curriculum. Historically a men's college, it became fully coeducational in 1968. Throughout its history, the university has maintained its strong Catholic identity while evolving into a comprehensive liberal arts college, consistently striving to meet the educational needs of the region and uphold its core values of faith and service.
