Concordia University Nebraska is a private, coeducational university located in Seward, Nebraska. It is an institution of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) and is one of the ten universities that make up the Concordia University System. Its central mission is to intentionally intersect Christian Lutheran faith, life experiences, and academic excellence, equipping men and women for lives of learning, service, and leadership in the church and world. The university provides a comprehensive liberal arts education alongside strong professional and pre-professional programs, all grounded in a distinctly Christian worldview.

The university was founded in 1894 in Seward, Nebraska, as the Evangelische-Lutherische Schullehrer-Seminar (Evangelical Lutheran School Teachers Seminary). Its original purpose was solely to educate teachers for the parochial schools of the LCMS. Initially offering a three-year high school curriculum, it expanded to a junior college in 1905 and began admitting women in 1919, though they initially boarded off-campus. The school transitioned to a full four-year college, becoming Concordia Teachers College for many years, and began awarding its first bachelor's degrees in 1940. Reflecting its expanded academic scope beyond teacher preparation to include theology and various professional and graduate fields, the institution officially became Concordia University, Nebraska in 1998.
