Curry College is a private, coeducational college located in Milton, Massachusetts, approximately seven miles south of Boston. It is known for its strong emphasis on practical learning, professional preparation, and personalized student support. The college offers a comprehensive array of undergraduate and graduate programs across the arts, sciences, and professional fields, operating with a mission to develop students' intellectual curiosity, personal growth, and career readiness. Its close proximity to Boston allows students to easily access extensive cultural, internship, and professional opportunities.

The college was founded in 1879 in Boston by Anna Baright, a pioneer in the field of speech education, as the School of Elocution and Expression. The institution was later renamed the Curry School of Expression in honor of one of its later directors, Samuel Silas Curry, a renowned speech and drama teacher. Initially focusing on dramatic arts and public speaking, the college gradually broadened its curriculum to include liberal arts and professional studies. It moved to its present 131-acre residential campus in Milton in 1952 and officially became Curry College. This relocation and curriculum expansion cemented its identity as a comprehensive college dedicated to both liberal arts principles and career-focused education.

Curry College stands as a unique institution, defined by its historic roots in communication and expression and its modern commitment to highly personalized, career-oriented education. Its most significant distinguishing feature, the Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL), demonstrates an exceptional dedication to inclusive excellence and tailored student success. By combining a practical curriculum, a supportive residential environment, and immediate access to the professional opportunities of the Boston metropolitan area, the college effectively prepares a diverse group of graduates for success in their chosen careers.
