Felician University

Felician University is a private, coeducational Catholic university with campuses located in Lodi and Rutherford, New Jersey. It is one of the few Franciscan universities in the United States and holds the distinction of being the only one in New Jersey. The university traces its origins to 1942, when it was founded by the Felician Sisters as the Immaculate Conception Normal School. Over the following decades, the institution expanded its mission and student body, becoming Felician College in 1967 as it transitioned into a four-year liberal arts college. The institution achieved university status in 2015, marking its growth into a comprehensive regional institution.
