Gallaudet University

Gallaudet University, located in Washington, D.C. provides coterminous services first of its kind to deaf and hard-of-hearing students since 1864. Being the only university in the world being designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing persons, Gallaudet provides wide arrays of undergraduate and graduate programs in various disciplines to maintain an educational environment that is truly inclusive and accessible. Faculty consisting, among others, of deaf and hard of hearing persons engage in a very rich teaching environment that promotes deaf culture, deaf language, and deaf community.
