Goddard College

Goddard College was a private liberal arts college formerly located in Plainfield, Vermont, renowned for its radical and experimental approach to higher education. Despite its cultural influence and legacy of innovation, the college struggled with financial sustainability and declining enrollment in the 21st century. In early 2024, the Board of Trustees announced that the college would officially close its doors, concluding its final semester in June 2024 and ending over 160 years of educational service.
