Goucher College

Goucher College is a private liberal arts college located in Towson, Maryland, just north of Baltimore. Originally founded as a women’s college, it has evolved into a coeducational institution known for its innovative approach to global education and its commitment to social justice. For the first half of its existence, the campus was located in downtown Baltimore (an area now known as Old Goucher), but the institution began a decades-long transition to its current Towson site in the 1940s, completing the move by 1954. A major turning point occurred in 1986 when the Board of Trustees voted to admit men, transforming Goucher into a fully coeducational institution that today serves approximately 1,100 undergraduate and 900 graduate students.
