Seeking a permanent home for expansion, the college relocated to its current site in Wyoming, Michigan (a suburb of Grand Rapids) in 1961 and was renamed Grace Bible College. For several decades, it functioned primarily as a training ground for vocational ministry, but as it added diverse professional programs in business, psychology, and criminal justice, it transitioned into a comprehensive university structure. In 2018, the institution officially became Grace Christian University, reflecting its status as a multifaceted regional leader in faith-based higher education.
