New York University

New York University is also known as NYU and is found in New York City, New York, USA. It offers doctorates in American Studies, Arts, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Fine Arts, Politics, and other fields of study.

The school was formed in 1831, under the eye of Albert Gallatin, who had served under James Madison and Thomas Jefferson as their Secretary of the Treasury. The school was set up to have students placed due to their scholastic merit, rather than their social class, status, or birthright. NYU is a non-denominational school, which was unusual at the time of its founding. 

Based on the QS World University Ranking of 2023, New York University is positioned as the #39 top university in the world. The rank is improved by 3 points from last year.
